Project V8 RX-7: More Oiling Insurance from Improved Racing, Accusump and Earl’s (Part 2 of 2)

,

We put more Teflon tape on the 1/2-inch NPT side of the hose end and screwed it into the Accusump.  With that end complete we remounted the Accusump and began routing the hose underneath the car to the oil cooler.
We installed rivet nuts along the underside of the transmission tunnel and over the rear differential so we could use loom clamps to secure our hose and keep it off the driveshaft.
Plenty of clearance and well away from hot stuff.
Back at it with the arrows so you can follow along we routed the hose up the top of the transmission tunnel and up over the rear of the engine and bellhousing to keep the hose clear of the hot catalytic converters and exhaust manifold.  From there we came down the driver side frame rail and out a hole in the front of the chassis where we’ll put our T-fitting.
We eyeballed how long the hose needed to be to mate up to our T-fitting and used a zip tie to mark the spot before making our first real cut.
