Time for a little Cardboard Aided Design (C.A.D.)
Not much to write about cutting and bending a piece of aluminum sheet to make our oil cooler shroud. Here’s some pics!
That was easy!
We had so much fun using the rivet nuts we stuck 4 more in the oil cooler mounting brackets to mount our shroud. All done!More Metalwork!
While feeling good about our machining work we decided the Accusump could use a little extra protection from potential road debris that might be kicked up.
We made some angled brackets with you guessed it.. more rivet nuts! We’ll attach these to the gas tank straps on the same bolts the Accusump mounting brackets are hanging off.
