Here’s a shot of our moderately worn and boring shift knob and boot.
 

To get the knob to come up, I like to put the car in second gear, unclip the boot, and pull hard until the knob pops off.
 

Here’s our new look with the Coby’s shift boot and the 330i ZHP factory knob.
 

Here’s a close-up of our factory e-brake, which was also showing some wear.  To remove this, start by unclipping the boot from the center console…
 

…and flip it all the way up until you expose the inside portion of the boot.  Here, you’ll find a zip tie that needs to be cut.
