Next, we used the punch to remove the old carrier bearing races from the diff case.
Hammer, away and out they come!
The old pinion bearing races and pinion seal had to be removed in preparation to clean the differential housing. The pinion seal was simply pried out with a screwdriver.
The races were removed by hammering them out with a punch.
Viola! The races are removed.
Next, the old axle shaft seals were removed by prying them out.
